The International Federation of Biomedical Laboratory Science (IFBLS) and the European Association for Professions in Biomedical Science (EPBS) share many common goals.

These organisations are complementary in nature. The IFBLS focus is global and has representation from almost all Continents. The EPBS represents associations in Europe and focuses on matters pertaining to Europe.

The Executives of both organisations met at the 30th IFBLS Congress in Berlin and agreed to form a collaboration based on mutual respect and common goals.This collaboration was made in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), starting from 1 January 2013.
